Section 1
General
1.1 Definitions
1.1.1 LessorLessor is Wander Vans Crete, Greece.
1.1.2 DriverDriver is the renter of the vehicle. An additional co-driver is a driver too.
1.1.3 VehicleAny car, camper, mini camper or any vehicle rented out by the lessor.
1.1.4 Period of RentalThe period of rental starts with the handover of the vehicle. It ends when the lessor confirms the handover back, during business hours of the lessor.
1.1.5 AcceptanceThe Driver has read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions, confirmed by signing the rental contract. A copy is given to the driver.
Section 2
Driver Requirements
2.1 AgeThe driver must be 23 years of age at the day of signing the rental contract.
2.2 LicenceThe driver must hold an unrestricted driving licence valid for the vehicle, issued for at least one year, shown at signing. The licence must be readable in English, or an international driving licence must be presented.
Section 3
Payment & Cancellation
3.1 Payment Methods
Vehicle rent must be paid by credit/debit card, PayPal or bank transfer. All prices are in Euros including applicable taxes. We accept: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, JCB, American Express, Diners, PayPal, and bank transfer.
3.2 Deposit on Arrival
When picking up your camper a deposit payment is required to cover your self-risk fee. The deposit will be charged from your account and refunded after return of the camper, once all balances are settled.
3.2.1 Additional costsAll expected and unexpected costs during the rental period — including extra insurance, damages, repairs, tolls, fuel refill, parking fines or speeding tickets.
3.2.2 Deposit returnThe deposit is credited back to your card. If any costs must be withheld, the remaining amount is returned by money transfer after the matter is cleared.
3.3–3.4 Cancellation
Cancellations must be sent by email to info@wandervans.gr. WanderVans Crete may also cancel any booking in case of overbooking or other reason — in which case the full amount is refunded without any additional fees.

3.6 One-Way Rentals
One-way rentals are permitted. Changes must be approved by WanderVans Crete by email before the rental period starts. Relocation fees are non-refundable.
3.7–3.8 Covid-19 Voucher Policy
Government travel restrictions: If the Greek government restricts entry due to Covid-19, WanderVans Crete offers the option to convert your booking into a voucher valid for 3 years from your original pick-up date. Request must be made 48 hours before pick-up via email. Bookings paid with a Covid voucher may also be converted again under the same terms.
Section 4
Vehicle Return & Lessee Obligations
The lessee will return the vehicle:
4.1 ConditionWith all attachments, tools, documents and items in the same condition as received (normal wear excepted). Missing or unsatisfactory items will be charged to the lessee's card.
4.2 On TimeOn the agreed date and time. Late return of 1 hour or more may result in a 24-hour charge. The lessor may repossess the vehicle without notice if the lessee fails to return it or extend the lease.
4.3 Contract ComplianceIf the lessee violates the contract terms the lessor or police are authorised to repossess the vehicle at the lessee's cost.
4.4 Prohibited Uses
The lessee is liable for damage not covered by insurance, including damage resulting from:
Off-road driving (tracks, beaches, areas only accessible at low tide)
Driving under the influence of alcohol or any intoxicants
Driving in rivers or waterways
Driving in snow or ice banks
Use that contravenes Greek law or the rental agreement
Failure to notify police and lessor immediately after an accident
Important: Only drivers named in the rental agreement are authorised to operate the vehicle. The vehicle may not be used for paid passenger transport, lent to others, or subleased.
Section 5
Obligations of the Lessor
5.1The lessor undertakes to supply the vehicle at the agreed time in proper condition.
5.2If the vehicle malfunctions, the lessor will supply a comparable vehicle as soon as possible. Minor repairs may be arranged with the lessee's consent.
5.3The lessor will inform the lessee of the full content of the rental agreement.
5.4The lessor will inform foreign lessees of Greek traffic regulations and relevant road hazards.
5.5Any limitations on vehicle use will be communicated in writing at signing.
Section 6
Insurance
6.1–6.3The rental fee includes mandatory vehicle insurance, liability insurance and accident insurance for the driver. The lessor maintains valid liability insurance for all business operations.
6.4The lessee may purchase separate All-risks (accident) insurance specifying the deductible amount per incident.
6.5 CDW/SCDW Exclusions
The collision damage waiver does not cover damage or loss caused by:
Intentional damage or gross negligence by the driver
Driving under the influence of alcohol, stimulants or sedatives
Race or test driving
War, revolution, civil unrest or riots
Water damage to the vehicle
Burns to seats, carpets or mats
Damage to wheels, tyres, suspension, batteries, glass (other than windows), radios, or theft of parts
Driving on rough roads (undercarriage, transmission, chassis damage)
Driving in prohibited areas: paths, tracks, snow banks, unbridged rivers, beaches, or trackless areas
Sand, gravel, ash, pumice or other material blown onto the vehicle
Sea spray/seawater damage during sea transport
Vehicle theft
Section 7
General Provisions
7.1Signing the rental agreement confirms the lessee received the vehicle and attachments in sound condition.
7.2Signing the rental agreement authorises the lessor to charge any rightful amounts to the lessee's credit card per the terms of this agreement.
7.3This lease agreement must be kept in the vehicle during the entire rental period.
7.4Additions or amendments to this agreement must be made in writing.
7.5Greek law applies to all agreements made under these terms, including any claims for compensation.
7.6Disputes between parties may be submitted to the Arbitration Committee of the Greek Consumers Association and the Greek Travel Industry Association.
